Final Fantasy 14: Release
The fact that sometimes it can be a good idea to move games back to the last minute, various developers and fans have already experienced their own body. This time it meets the community of Final Fantasy 14 — because the extension end walker does not appear as planned on 23 November 2021.
Story development went at cost of stability
As Game Director Naomi Yeshiva explained in an official message to the fans, in which he apologized comprehensively for the release shift, end walker will be planned two weeks later than originally planned, namely on December 7, 2021. The early access release is scheduled for 03 December 2021. Patch 6.01 is accordingly starting on December 21, 2021, Patch 6.05 will follow on January 4, 2022.
Yeshiva emphasized that the shift of quality assurance serve. He himself invested as a Game Director as many resources in the Story of End walker that at the end was lacking time to guarantee a stable release version: [...] We were determined to adapt even the smallest nuances to ensure that our concept for history also covers the finest details of the far-reaching and complicated history that has over the last 11 years since the original version has extended from FFI so that everyone can enjoy the adventures in End walker to the fullest. Unfortunately, these additional improvements led to the fact that we have also used time required for the final quality improvement review.
Under these circumstances, there was a greater risk of achieving the publication date without being able to ensure a quality feature without stability. For this reason, I decided at this time to postpone the publication. In view of the fact that we also expect a high server load on all worlds, it did not feel properly to publish the extension with a lack of appropriate stability. I m really sorry.
The fact that end walker appears two weeks later than planned, but should be for many fans but to be overtaken, especially if the developers can guarantee a round (re) gaming experience.
