Lol: The worst skill that has disappeared from the game forever and nobody remembers

The new League of Legends champions may not convince the entire community, but they are the most worked in history. Riot Games no longer has the need to hurry launch dates or is too pressured by players to carry out new premieres. This situation, together with the learning achieved after more than a decade of work, prevents great errors from taking place in terms of skills creation. Everything is proved a thousand times before the BE even arrives. However, before things did not work so well and that resulted in some champions had completely ridiculous spells.

The worst ability in League of Legends

One of the most obvious examples of characters that came to the video game with a skill that did not fit at all is Lyra. As soon as players remain that remember the old version of a champion who received his rework more than six years ago. However, one of his old spells was so bad that he was responsible for the update of the champion. We refer to his passive, which was called Lady of thorns. The failure was absolute, to the point that we consider it the worst ability that has existed in the history of League of Legends.

The passives that are only activated after dying are not usually too good (there are exceptions) and that of Lyra took the palm. The champion was still for two seconds before he could launch this kind of dart that inflicted a small amount of true damage. By then its impact on the fight was minimal, being able to achieve in the best of the revenge of an enemy that could not flee in time. To make ourselves to the idea, it is a worsened version of Dog’maw's ability, since at least the small void caterpillar can move and do not have to point.

There were all kinds of suggestions to improve this spell both in the official League of Legends forums and in other spaces for the community debate. Even developers knew it was a problem. However, they did not find a way to solve it. For a few weeks a version of the champion was tested (on the internal servers of Riot Games) in which he could relive in case of eliminating an enemy with the use of his passive. However, from the company they considered that he gave the character too much and decided to cancel the change, carrying out the Rework just a year later.

The

The truth is that League of Legends has not been seen in many similar situations since then and largely because they act in a much more prudent way. The developer suffered many problems to carry out too precipitous releases, such as the famous case of the champion created in three days. In addition, it ended other practices such as the so-called ‘class reworks’ that also gave rise to many failures. Now Riot Games workers act much more moderate and easy to understand.
